After graduating from The University of Toledo (UT) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications, he entered Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, Indiana (CTSFW) in 2012. Just two weeks prior to his start at the seminary he was joined in Holy Matrimony to Anna (Carr). After completing his three years of classes, he was placed at Light of the Hills Lutheran Church, Cameron Park, CA in 2015. After finishing his vicarage, he graduated with his Master of Divinity (MDiv) in 2016. He received his first call to serve Saints Peter and Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sharon, PA. On June 18, God ordained him into the Office of Holy Ministry. He has been blessed with three children. He presently serves both Saints Peter and Paul Lutheran Church and All Saints Lutheran Church and Student Center.
Vicar Wessel +
He is originally from Minnesota, and grew up in three different towns there, having spent the past eighteen years living in Spring Valley, a small town in the south-eastern corner of the state. His father is a pastor, so he already had some familiarity with the life and work of a pastor before coming to seminary. He went to Bethany Lutheran College for his bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts with a concentration in Ancient and Medieval Studies. Upon completion of his studies at Bethany, he began studies at the seminary in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. After two years of training there, he was assigned as vicar to All Saints.
